Alwar lynching: Rahul assaults PM Modi, questions police action in the case

 

New Delhi, July 23 Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Monday cornered Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Alwar lynching case and furthermore brought up issue over police action in the case.

Taking to Twitter, the Congress chief said that the episode demonstrates Prime Minister Modi's fierce "New India".

He also slammed the Rajasthan Police for supposedly making delay in taking Akbar Khan, the casualty of crowd lynching to the hospital.

"Policemen in #Alwar took 3 hrs to get a diminishing Rakbar Khan, the casualty of a lynch horde, to a healing center only 6 KM away. Why? They took a lunch break enroute. This is Modi's ruthless "New India" where humankind is supplanted with contempt and people are crushed and left incredible," tweeted.

In the interceding night of July 20-21, Khan was purportedly pounded the life out of by a disturbed crowd on doubts of bovine carrying in Alwar locale.

Earlier on July 21, two people were captured for the case.
