New Delhi, July 10 Citing repeated adjournments of the House without business being executed in a few sessions of the sixteenth Lok Sabha, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan has penned a letter to all individuals from the lower house.
"At times, some Hon'ble Members have gone to the well of the House and shouted slogans, indicated notices and flags and intruded on the procedures of the House. Thusly, the House must be suspended over and again without executing any business," composed the Speaker.
Mahajan urged members to guarantee that discussion, divergence of opinion and dissent is within the well-established parameters and acknowledged standards of Parliamentary respect and propriety with the goal that individuals may keep on having abiding faith in democracy and democratic institutions.
In her letter, the 75-year-old expressed that frequent disruptions in the House don't help display a coveted picture and picture of the working of majority rule government in India. "Amid my ongoing outside visits, the Indian Diaspora and other remote dignitaries also communicated their mistake and worry over the constant disruption in the matter of the House," she included.
"Sometimes on social media platforms, we find that the expected enthusiasm and appreciation for the Parliament, Parliamentary Conventions and Democracy isn't accessible.
