Prime Minister Modi, Rahul Gandhi express grief over Raigad accident

Raigad (Maharashtra), July 28 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday expressed grief over the Raigad bus accident..

No less than 30 people were killed on Saturday after a school bus fell down a mountain street in Ambenali Ghat of Maharashtra's Raigad region.

"Pained by the loss of lives because of a bus accident in Maharashtra's Raigad area. My sympathies to those who lost their loved ones," the Prime Minister tweeted.

Meanwhile, Congress president Rahul Gandhi also took note of the incident and appealed to his party workers in the region to give help to the harmed and deceased's families.

"I'm sorry to learn about the unpleasant transport mishap in Raigad, Maharashtra in which an expansive number of individuals have been slaughtered and numerous others harmed. I claim to Congress party laborers in the region to give all conceivable help to the harmed and groups of the individuals who have passed on," Rahul tweeted.

The students were headed to Mahabaleshwar fora picnic when the incident took place.
