Arjun Ram Meghwal: Horde lynching remark misinterpreted

New Delhi, Jul 22 Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal on Sunday guaranteed that his remark on crowd lynching was "misinterpreted".

He took to his Twitter handle today and said he 'deeply censure' such incidents.

"I again reiterate that my announcement is totally misinterpreted by few areas of media. We profoundly denounce the occurrences of crowd lynching and @HMOIndia has issued a warning to the state government in 2016 n July 2018 for making strict move in such cases," Meghwal Tweeted.

While alluding that detractors are trying to malign the central government, Meghwal yesterday all the more lynching occurrences will occur with the ascent in prominence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"The more popular Modi ji turns into, the all the more such episodes will happen. In Bihar election it was 'Award Wapsi', in Uttar Pradesh elections it was horde lynching. In 2019 elections it will be something different. PM Modi gave a few plans, their belongings can be seen, this (lynching) episode is only one response to it," Meghwal said.

The association serve named the counter Sikh mobs of 1984 as the greatest instance of crowd lynching in India.

He stated, "we censure mob lynching but this is definitely not a solitary episode. You need to follow this back ever. For what reason does this happen? Who should stop this? What occurred with Sikhs in 1984 was the biggest mob lynching of this present country's history."

The union minister had made the remark yesterday while responding on charged horde lynching of a man in Rajasthan's Alwar over doubt of cow sneaking on the mediating night of Friday and Saturday.

The police promptly had surged the casualty to a close-by hospital, where he was proclaimed brought dead.
