Patna, July 29 Hours after a road caved at an under construction site in Patna on Sunday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar checked out the circumstance and guaranteed strict action, if an instance of authority carelessness rises. The road caved in on Bailey road due to heavy downpour and waterlogging.
Kumar, who reached the incident spot, said that an intensive report will be directed to maintain a strategic distance from such occurrences in future.
"This is a 100 year-old-road which got broke due to heavy rains in the locale from the recent days. Experts will again lead a point by point examine relating to the imperfections in the development.If any official discovered blameworthy in this episode, the government will make strict action," said Kumar.
He further said that the experts will endeavor endeavors to remake the road keeping in mind the end goal to facilitate the drive for the general population living in the zone. He also included that the recommendations of specialists from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) will likewise be thought about before resuscitating the development.
The Chief Minister also directed the authorities to first check the groundwater level before taking the next step in this construction project.
"I have told officials to check groundwater level. As it is a piece of the metro rail network, an exhaustive report will be made. This occurrence has forewarned us to forestall such episodes in future. Movement of light and heavy vehicles will be regulated," he added.
