Congress' manifesto committee to visit Mumbai one week from now

Mumbai, Oct 17 The Congress' manifesto committee, headed by senior leader P Chidambaram, will visit Mumbai on October 27 to cooperate with industry delegates, the party said Wednesday.

City Congress chief Sanjay Nirupam said the board of trustees, set up to draft the party's statement for the following year's Lok Sabha elections, is meeting different partners the nation over.

The main committee led by Chidambaram, a former finance minister, will meet representatives of industry, trade, the managing an account division and the speculator network, while a sub-council will visit here on October 23 and communicate with municipal activists on urban issues, Nirupam said.

This sub-committee will be going by former Union minister Selja Kumari, he said.
