Two policemen, DD cameraman killed in Naxal assault in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Oct 30 Two police staff and a Doordarshan cameraman were killed in a Naxal assault in poll-bound Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district on Tuesday, police said.

Two police staff were also harmed in the occurrence, which occurred in Nilawaya town under the Aranpur police headquarters.

"Those killed were identified as Sub Inspector Rudra Pratap, Assistant Constable Mangalu and DD News cameraman Achyutanand from Delhi," Deputy Inspector General (against Naxal tasks) Sundarraj P told.

Two other security staff were harmed in the episode, he stated, adding that fortifications were hurried to the spot.

Further details are awaited, he said.

Get together polls in Chhattisgarh will be held in two stages on November 12 and 20.
