Jaipur, Oct 16 Rajasthan BJP on Tuesday censured Congress MP Shashi Tharoor's comments that horrible Hindu would need the Ram Temple in Ayodhya by devastating another person's place of worship and asked the opposition party clear up its remain on the issue.
"The BJP firmly censures this announcement as well as requests that the Congress clears up its remain on the Ram sanctuary issue," BJP leader Onkar Singh Lakhawat told journalists at the gathering office here.
"The Congress can't remove itself from the comments saying they were made in close to home limit. The comments were made to communicate something specific," he said.
On Monday, Congress representative R P N Singh said whatever Tharoor said was said in his own ability and the gathering trusted that the decision of the Supreme Court on the Ram temple issue will tie on everybody.
Tharoor, who is Congress MP from Thiruvananthapuram, made the dubious remarks at an occasion in Chennai on Sunday.
"As a Hindu, clearly, I am cognizant that a larger part of my kindred Hindus trust that that (Ayodhya) was the specific birthplace of Ram," Tharoor had said.
"Therefore, most great Hindus would need to see a Ram sanctuary at the site where Ram should be (have been) conceived. However, I also trust that awful Hindu would have needed that a sanctuary be worked by demolishing somebody else's place (of worship)," he had said.
In any case, he later asserted that his comments were misshaped out of malevolence.
"I condemn the malicious distortion of my words by some media in the service of political masters. I stated: most Hindus would need a temple at what they accept to be Ram's origination. However, no great Hindu would need it to be worked by devastating somewhere else's of love," he tweeted.
"I was requested my sincere belief at an abstract celebration and gave it thusly. I am not a Spokesperson for my party and did not profess to represent the Congress," he said.
