A R Rahman named brand ambassador of Sikkim

Gangtok, Jan 8 Music maestro A R Rahman was named the official brand ambassador of Sikkim at a function here today.

Stretching out a warm welcome to Rahman at the opening service of the Sikkim Red Panda Winter Carnival, Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling said he was appreciative to the artist for tolerating his proposal.

"I am appreciative to Rahman for saving his important time to connect with Sikkim," he said.

The Grammy victor, on his part, said it was a benefit and respect for him to be pronounced the brand minister of the north-eastern state.

The tiny Himalayan territory of Sikkim was a case of tolerance, compassion, peace, respectability and common agreement for whatever remains of the nation, he included.

"Sikkim has become known as a standout amongst the most ecological cordial and excellent places on the planet. It is our undertaking to welcome this excellence and protect its magnificence," he said.

The artist, who touched base here keep going night on his lady visit to the state, said he was excited to see the energy among the group of onlookers at the Paljor stadium.

"I thank the general population of Sikkim for their affection and accommodation and furthermore to give this decent title of brand envoy to a man from my group," he told the stuffed crowd.
