Rs 370 crore to BSF, ITBP for border framework

New Delhi, Jan 31 Laying accentuation on building framework along the Indo-Pak and Sino-India border, the legislature has endorsed almost Rs 370 crore to the BSF and the ITBP for development of fortifications and extraordinary atmosphere controlled hovels in forward regions, an authority said today.

A sum of Rs 369.84 crore has been authorized by the home service for development of framework for Border Security Force (BSF) and Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), the authority told.

The amount will be spent for development of dugouts, strengthening outskirt out posts of the BSF along the Indo-Pak fringe, development of atmosphere controlled hovels, obtainment of snow bike for the ITBP other than other essential works of the two powers.

The BSF monitors the 2,526.86-km-long Indo-Pak border, including 237.2 km of the Line of Control, and 4096.7 km of the Indo-Bangladesh fringe.

The Indo-Pak border has been seeing monstrous truce infringement from over the border since the start of 2017.

No less than four BSF faculty were killed in terminating by Pakistan this month.

ITBP guards the 3,488-km-long Sino-India border that runs through Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. The power is uniquely prepared to work in high height rugged landscape.

ITBP fringe out posts are of the height up to 18,750 feet where the temperature plunges down less 40 degree Celsius.
