Sensex withdraws from record level, down by 162 points

Mumbai, Jan 30 Retreating from its record abnormal state, the benchmark BSE Sensex lost more than 162 focuses in opening exchange today on benefit booking in late gainers in the midst of frail leads from worldwide markets.

The BSE 30-share gauge fell by 162.24 points or 0.45 percent to 36,121.01 with IT, teck, human services, metal, capital merchandise and keeping money stocks falling up to 0.68 percent.

The check had increased 232.81 points to close at another pinnacle of 36,283.25 subsequent to scaling a record-breaking intra-day high of 36,443.98 in yesterday's exchange.

Intermediaries said separated from benefit booking at record levels by members, a frail pattern at other Asian markets following overnight misfortunes at Wall Street hurt the exchanging opinion.

The more extensive NSE Nifty too subsided from its record shutting and plunged beneath the 11,100-level by losing 64.20 focuses, or 0.58 percent to 11,066.20. It had shut at the life time high of 11,130.40 points yesterday.

Asian Paint, Adani Ports, ICICI Bank, Coal India, Wipro, Dr Reddy's, Tata Steel, L&T, Power Grid, TCS and Kotak Bank were real washouts that dragged both the key lists down from their record highs.

Then, outside portfolio financial specialists purchased shares worth a net of Rs 291.86 crore, while household institutional speculators made buys to the tune of Rs 90.08 yesterday, temporary information appeared.

Most Asian markets were bring down in their opening exchange.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng was down 0.30 percent, Japan's Nikkei shed 0.64 percent and Shanghai Composite Index was down 0.41 percent.

The US Dow Jones Industrial Average finished 0.67 percent bring down in yesterday's exchange.
