Prime Minister Narendra Modi meets Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah

New Delhi, Jan 25 Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah here on Thursday.

Prior today, he also met with the Prime Ministers of Thailand and Singapore.

PM Modi will address the whole session of the India-ASEAN commemorative summit.

The focus of the summit will be counter-terrorism, security, exchange and availability.

Every one of the 10 pioneers of ASEAN nations will go to the Summit, which denotes the 25 years of Indo-ASEAN ties.

Nine ASEAN pioneers have just touched base in New Delhi and just Indonesian President Joko Widodo will come today.

In a phenomenal occasion, all the 10 ASEAN pioneers will likewise be the main visitors at the Republic Day parade tomorrow.

President Ram Nath Kovind will have a dinner to pay tribute to ASEAN pioneers. It will be followed by a Leader's Retreat.

The Prime Minister, yesterday, held separate bilateral meetings with pioneers of three ASEAN countries - Myanmar, Vietnam and Philippines.

Prime Minister Modi met Myanmar's State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi, his Vietnamese partner Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Philippines President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

The Prime Minister will hold a total of nine bilateral meetings with pioneers of ASEAN nations on the sidelines of the Summit.
