Mamata hails Tashkent Declaration, recollects brave soldiers

Kolkata, Jan 10 West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today recalled the warriors who yielded their lives amid the Indo-Pakistan war of 1965 that finished with the marking of the Tashkent Declaration on this day.

The 1965 outfitted clash amongst India and Pakistan was formally conveyed to an end by marking this statement at Tashkent, the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Soviet Union, on January 10, 1966.

"On this day in 1966, the Tashkent Declaration conveyed to an end the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965. Recalling the overcome officers who gave their lives for the country," Banerjee composed on her Twitter handle toward the beginning of today.
