Sushma Swaraj gets warm welcome at Jakarta air terminal

Jakarta [Indonesia], Jan 05 External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj was given a warm Indonesian conventional welcome on her landing in Jakarta today.

She is on a two-day visit to the Indonesia, where she will co-seat the fifth gathering of India-Indonesia Joint Commission with her partner Retno Marsudi.

"EAM lands in Jakarta to a warm welcome in Indonesian convention. EAM will hold JCM with her partner FM Retno later today!" India in Indonesia tweeted.

Sushma Swaraj was gotten by the senior officers of India Embassy and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia.

"EAM landed in Jakarta today. She was gotten at Airport by Ambassador Pradeep Kumar Rawat, Ambassador Suresh Reddy, DCM and senior officers of Embassy and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia. EAM is planned to meet VP Jusuf Kalla and FM Retno Marsudi later in the day," India in Indonesia said in a moment tweet.

Recently, Swaraj met with Foreign Minister of Thailand Don Pramudwinai and talked about issues of availability, security and social participation.

"Keeping up with the growing momentum of the respective relationship, EAM @SushmaSwaraj talked about issues of network, security and social collaboration with Mr. Wear Pramudwinai, Foreign Minister of Thailand. #ActEastPolicy," External Affairs Ministry representative Raveesh Kumar tweeted.

The Thai minister also facilitated a supper in the respect of Swaraj.

Prior on Thursday, Swaraj, touched base in Bangkok on the primary leg of a three-country visit that will likewise take her to Indonesia and Singapore.

The priest got a "warm welcome" in Thailand - "our geographic, memorable and social neighbor", Kumar had tweeted.

Thailand will expect the part of facilitator nation for India-ASEAN relations not long from now.

Swaraj is on her first visit of the year 2018 to three South East Asian nations - Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore.

The visit is aimed for giving a further lift to respective relations toward the South East Asian nations inside the system of India's Act East Policy.
