Delhi government launches regular card for bus, metro rides

New Delhi, Jan 8 Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today propelled a typical card for rides on public buses and the metro, naming it a major advance in the city's transport sector.

Delhi is the first city in the nation to have a typical versatility card, which can at exhibit be used on 200 DTC and 50 group buses handling on various courses, aside from metro trains.

"Its a big step in the transport sector that will encourage the consistent go of individuals in Delhi," Kejriwal told correspondents after a short ride on a DTC transport on the event.

The card, which will work like a charge card, will be operational in all DTC and bunch transports from April 1. The city has around 3,900 DTC and more than 1,600 bunch buses.

Transport serve Kailash Gahlot was also present for the launch of the pilot project.
