Turkey ousts Israeli emissary incidentally

Ankara, May 16 Turkey on Wednesday disclosed to Israel's emissary general in Istanbul Yosef Levi Sfari to leave the nation "for quite a while" over the killings of around 60 Palestinian nonconformists by Israeli powers along the Gaza border.

Ankara has been a vocal critic of the Israeli savagery against Palestinians in Gaza and the opening of the US consulate in Jerusalem.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had blamed Israel for "state dread" and "slaughter" over the killings.

Turkey's consul general in Jerusalem was summoned by the Israeli Foreign Ministry on Tuesday and also asked to leave the nation for an indefinite period of time, Turkey's Anadolu news agencydetailed.

At least 62 Palestinians were martyred and thousands more injured by Israeli forces along the Gaza border on Monday.

A large number of Palestinians has gathered to protest on the Gaza Strip's eastern fringe to celebrate the Nakba commemoration and challenge the migration of the U.S. government office from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Following the violent clashes, Turkey reviewed its diplomat from Israel and the U.S. for conferences, South Africa also reviewed its envoy from Israel.

The United Nations had required a crisis meeting to examine the result of the progressing Gaza border protests.
