New Delhi, May 16 In a request to support open transport infrastructure, the Union Cabinet has approved an expansion of Delhi Metro corridor from Noida City Center to Sector-62, Noida in Uttar Pradesh.
The extension will cover a length of 6.675 k.m. at the total finishing cost of Rs.1,967 crores.
The meeting was led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Association Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, who was additionally present there, reported the endorsements.
The Government of India obligation will be Rs. 340.60 crore by virtue of Grant and Subordinate Debt.
The extension of Delhi Metro hall from Noida City Center to Noida Sector 62 is the expansion to Dwarka-Noida City Center line of Delhi Metro framework which will come about into people being guaranteed about their portability and therefore more people will get a kick out of the chance to move to this satellite town of Delhi, accordingly decongesting Delhi.
The number of inhabitants in Noida and people of surrounding areas will be benefitted by the extended line.
At the project site, approximately 800 staff including Engineers and other staff has been locked in. Further, the DMRC has begun the strategy for recruitment of around 200 representatives for Operation and Maintenance of this corridor.
Around 81 percentage progress of civil work and 55 percentage of overall financial progress of the project have been accomplished.
