Siddaramaiah meets Congress MLAs in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, May 18 Former Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah is in Hyderabad on Friday to meet Congress MLAs in front of the essential trust vote that will be hung on Saturday. To abstain from poaching by the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Congress has taken a busload of MLAs to Hyderabad. The MLAs who achieved Hyderabad on Friday should be taken back to Bengaluru for the floor test that has been requested by the Supreme Court.

The apex court on Friday ordered BJP's B S Yeddyurappa to prove his majority on the floor of the House. He was on Thursday controlled the promise of Chief Minister of Karnataka and was given 15 days to demonstrate his dominant part. Be that as it may, the SC advised the administration to demonstrate its lion's share in the floor test at 4 pm on Saturday.

The SC also said that the Protem Speaker will overseeing the floor test. Before long, the Governor named BJP MLA KG Bopaiah as the Protem Speaker. Congress has cried foul over the choice on the grounds that according to the tradition, a Protem Speaker is the seniormost individual from the House. "Representative Vajubhai Vala has by and by propelled an experience on the Constitution by selecting KG Bopaiah as protem Speaker rather than the senior most MLA," Congress pioneer Randeep Surjewala said.

Bopaiah had also served in as the Protem Speaker in 2008 when BJP needed to demonstrate its larger part in the House. A Protem Speaker's part is to regulate promise to new MLAs and to direct the race of the full-time speaker.

After Yeddyurappa was sworn-in as the CM, the Congress and the JDS moved toward the SC guaranteeing that the choice of the Governor to welcome Siddaramaiah to frame government "illegal". Siddaramaiah had stated: "The Governor asking the BJP which has won just 104 seats to shape the administration demonstrates that he hosts connived with the gathering and its leaders."
