Prime Minister Narendra Modi, inaugurate Janakpur-Ayodhya direct bus service

Janakpur, May 11 Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Nepalese partner K P Sharma Oli on Friday together introduced an immediate transport benefit amongst Janakpur and Ayodhya - the two holy urban communities for Hindus

"Janakpur and Ayodhya are being connected. This is a noteworthy minute," Prime Minister Modi said while introducing the transport benefit as a feature of the Ramayan Circuit to advance religious tourism in Nepal and India

Modi flagged off the bus visiting the famed 20th century Janaki temple, committed to the Hindu goddess Sita, where he offered special prayers

The Indian government has distinguished 15 goals in India for improvement under the Ramayana Circuit subject to be specific Ayodhya, Nandigram, Shringverpur and Chitrakoot (Uttar Pradesh), Sitamarhi, Buxar and Darbhanga (Bihar), Chitrakoot (Madhya Pradesh), Mahendragiri (Odisha), Jagdalpur (Chattisgarh), Nashik and Nagpur (Maharashtra), Bhadrachalam (Telangana), Hampi (Karnataka) and Rameshwaram (Tamil Nadu)

Earlier, Nepalese Prime Minister Oli welcomed his Indian counterpart upon his landing in the temple complex.

"I am happy to be here in Janakpur. I am here to pay regards to King Janak and Mata Janaki. I thank the PM of Nepal Shri Oli for going with me amid this visit to Janakpur," Modi said.

Thousands of people have gathered in the Janaki temple premises to welcome Modi. Janaki temple has another look as the sanctuary was cleaned up and improved with lights

"Today's welcome in Nepal shows the affection the people of Nepal have towards the people of India," Modi told the gathering

Janakpur is known as the birth place of Sita, the wife of Lord Rama. Janaki temple was worked in memory of Sita in 1910. The three-storied structure made completely of stone and marble is 50-meter high and spread more than 4860 sq feet

Earlier, Defence Minister Ishwar Pokhrel and Province 2 Chief Minister Lalbabu Raut got Prime Minister Modi at the air terminal upon his landing

This is the third visit of Prime Minister Modi to Nepal and the primary abnormal state visit from India since the development of the new Government in Nepal this year.
