Rahul Gandhi says PM Modi's assault on his PM ambitions

Bengaluru, May 10 Congress party president Rahul Gandhi said on Thursday Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's assault on him proclaiming his prime clerical desire was gone for diverting consideration.

"This election isn't about Rahul," the Congress president said

"I have now learnt to deal with the PM. When he can't react, he occupies," Gandhi told journalists in Bengaluru - the capital of Karnataka - in the wake of twisting up his broad voyage through the survey bound southern Indian state

Gandhi was reacting to Modi's blistering assault on him after he announced his prime ecclesiastical aspiration

At his election rallies, Modi had wondered whether the nation will ever accept such an "immature and naamdar (famous)" leader for the post

He also said Modi sees a 'threat' in him

"Modi has anger inside... he has anger for everyone, not just me ...and sees a threat in me," Gandhi said

Expressing certainty that the Congress would win the get together surveys in Karnataka on May 12, he said the Opposition had limited itself to making individual assaults amid the battle

The BJP, he stated, feels "uncomfortable" when he visits a temple

"I don't think BJP understands the term Hindu," the Congress leader said.

The senior Congress leader also dismissed Modi in a roundabout way finished his mom's (Sonia Gandhi) Italian beginnings

"My mom is Italian. She has carried on a vast piece of her life in India. She is more Indian than numerous individuals I see," he said

The Congress president added that our foreign policy has been decimated.
