Terrorists assault police picket in Pulwama

Pulwama (Jammu and Kashmir), May 21 Terrorists on Monday assaulted a police picket in Shadi Pora zone in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama area.

The security forces retaliated strongly.

No casualties were reported.

Further points of interest are anticipated.

On a related note, the Center as of late requested to suspend the security activities against Terrorists in the state amid the heavenly month of Ramzan.

The Home Ministry said the choice has been taken to help the "peace-cherishing Muslims watch Ramzan in a peaceful environment".

However, it clarified that the security forces "reserve the right to retaliate if assaulted or if basic to ensure the lives of innocent people".
