PM Narendra Modi urges youth of J-K to come back to 'mainstream'

Srinagar, May 19 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday urged youth of Jammu and Kashmir who have lost their way to come back to the mainstream.

The Prime Minister also disclosed that coming back to the standard would be their commitment to the improvement of the Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing a gathering here, Prime Minister Modi stated, "There is no substitute for peace and stability. I urge the youth who have lost their approach to come back to the standard. The standard is their folks and family. The standard is their commitment to development of Jammu and Kashmir."

The Prime Minister also made it clear that whatever the security powers are doing in the state is applaudable.

"The young of the state will get new work open door with the new undertaking. What the security powers are improving the situation the adolescent of the state is commendable. Youth who have lost their direction, have taken to stone pelting and picked weapons are making their own state precarious. It is the need of great importance to leave this circumstance," he said.

PM Modi today introduced the 330-MW Kishanganga hydroelectric power venture and furthermore established framework stone for the semi-ring street venture in Srinagar.

The Prime Minister said that he felt privileged to dedicate to the country the Kishenganga control venture as this task is one of the greatest cases of building.

He also congratulated the people of the Valley for this project and said that the task will open new roads to development for Jammu and Kashmir.

"The ring road will provide connectivity to Akhnoor, Rajouri, Pooch and Kashmir. Raya Morh will be consistently associated with Jagti on the western side of Jammu by means of the new Jammu ring street," Prime Minister Modi said.

He stated, "This project won't just give free yet enough power to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. By and by, the measure of power the state needs, most piece of it is given by others states. This 330-MW venture will be useful in decreasing the issue of power to a vast degree."

Meanwhile, Jammua and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said thanks to the Prime Minister for announcing an unilateral ceasefire in Kashmir during Ramzan.

"I am thankful to PM Modi that he thought about us and declared an one-sided truce in Kashmir amid Ramzan. We expected that we will get a similar reaction from Pak however shockingly we didn't get it," the Chief Minister said.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister addressed a gathering at the end function of the birth centennial celebrations of nineteenth Kushok Bakula Rinpoche and the beginning of work on Zoji La Tunnel in Leh.

The entry and exit points in Jammu and Srinagar have been fixed by the police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), with vehicles being permitted after careful checking.
