Bengaluru, May 10 Hours after Congress President Rahul Gandhi hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over fundamental issues, Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday said that the former, alongside the failed and corrupt Siddaramaiah-drove government, have no answers on issues of Karnataka.
"Congress, their President, alongside the failed and corrupt Siddaramaiah government have no answers on issues of Karnataka. It was a guided public interview; numerous weren't permitted to make inquiries, if an attempt was made to ask, questions were paraphrased," Goyal said at a press conference.
Earlier in the day, the Congress President expressed that his gathering battled the race crusade on basic issues, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) limited itself to making personal attacks.
Addressing the press along Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and other senior gathering pioneers here, Gandhi stated, "I have been going around Karnataka for a few months now, we all stood together and fought the campaign on the fundamental issues. We have arranged a statement which is genuinely voice of the general population, however our resistance has confined itself to making individual assaults on the Chief Minister, on (Mallikarjun) Kharge ji and myself, and different leaders."
Gandhi also claimed that half of the BJP's manifesto was duplicated from the Congress', which reflected "an absence of reality among them about what they need to improve the situation the state."
He also communicated trust in winning the races.
The election in Karnataka will be hung on May 12 out of 223 bodies electorate, out of 224 of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, while the checking of votes and declaration of results will happen on May 15.
The election for one constituency has been postponed following the death of B.N. Vijay Kumar, Jayanagar BJP candidate.
Battling for the elections will end at 5:00 p.m. later in the day.
