Bengaluru, May 19 Karnataka Congress leader D.K. Shivakumar on Saturday communicated certainty that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would fall flat the floor test in the state get together and chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa would need to resign as chief minister.
"I am sure he will resign before the trust vote," Shivakumar, the former state bureau serve, said.
Discussing the missing Congress MLAs, Shivakumar informed that Pratap Gowda Patil has achieved the state assembly and will vote in favor of the party after swearing-in.
"Our leader Pratap Gowda Patil has achieved the assembly. He will guarantee as a MLA then he will vote in favor of the Congress. He won't deceive the party," he said.
Earlier in the day, the two missing Karnataka Congress MLAs were located at a Bengaluru hotel with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA G. Somasekhar Reddy, as per sources.
The two MLAs - Anand Singh and Pratap Gowda Patil - did not show up in the state assembly for vow taking function.
The floor test is slated to happen today at 4 pm in Karnataka's Vidhana Soudha.
