Petrol and diesel price hike

Bhopal, May 22 As the prices of petrol and diesel continued to soar high on Tuesday, people in general asked for the administration to diminish the cost as it's influencing their financial plan.

In Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal city, the oil cost touched Rs 82.47 per litre while diesel came to at Rs 71.66 for each litre.

Fumed over the price hike, local people in Bhopal asked the government to reduce the prices.

"It won't take much time at petrol costs to reach Rs. 100 at this speed. We have no other option but to buy fuel to commute. The government ought to lessen the costs, it's influencing our financial plan," said a Bhopal inhabitant.

Mumbai residents are also facing the brunt of fuel price hike as the cost of petrol touched Rs 84.70 for per litre, while diesel climbed a record high of Rs 71.66 per litre in the metropolitan city.

"Petrol and diesel costs are increasing every week. Costs here are much higher than other states. How are we expected to get by in this circumstance", said a local.

The fuel price hike has raised a worry the country over and welcomed a rage of the overall population for whom transportation has turned out to be costlier and awkward.

Earlier, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan guaranteed general society that the administration will soon take out a solution to tackle the situation.

He further called attention to that less generation of oil in the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and climb in crude oil price in the international market are a portion of the factors affecting the fuel price.

In April, Pradhan had said the Center and the state governments have been thinking about bringing the oil based commodities under the ambit of Goods and Services Tax.
