नई दिल्ली, 30 अगस्त (आईटीआई): वित्त मंत्री अरुण जेटली ने संकेत दिया है कि एयर इंडिया के विनिवेश पर एक शीघ्र निर्णय लिया जाएगा, जिसमें कम से कम दो दलों ने औपचारिक रूप से राष्ट्रीय वाहक में हिस्सेदारी खरीदने में रुचि व्यक्त की है।

जेटली की अध्यक्षता में मंत्रियों के एक समूह, कर्ज भारित एयर इंडिया के रणनीतिक विनिवेश की रूपरेखा पर काम कर रहा है, जो लंबे समय से घाटे में पड़ रहा है।

विमानन सेवा प्रदाता बर्ड ग्रुप ने एयर इंडिया के भू-प्रबंधन सहायक एआईटीएसएल को प्राप्त करने में रुचि व्यक्त करने वाली सरकार को लिखा है, नागरिक उड्डयन सचिव आर एन चौबे ने पहले दिन में संवाददाताओं से कहा था।

"इंडिगो के बाद, बर्ड समूह ने एयर इंडिया में रुचि की अभिव्यक्ति के साथ एक पत्र लिखा है," उन्होंने कहा।

The Union Cabinet had in June given on a fundamental level endorsement for key disinvestment of the transporter and its five auxiliaries.

Aviation services provide Bird Group has kept in touch with the legislature communicating enthusiasm for securing Air India's ground taking care of backup AIATSL, common flying secretary R N Choubey told columnists before in the day.

"After IndiGo, Bird Group has composed a letter with a statement of enthusiasm for Air India," he said.

Getting by on citizens' cash, the aircraft has been in the red for long and different recommendations, including government think tank Niti Aayog's proposal for finish privatization, have been made.

The carrier has an obligation of more than Rs 52,000 crore and is making due on a Rs 30,000-crore bailout bundle stretched out by the past UPA government in 2012.
