लखनऊ, 31 अगस्त उत्तर प्रदेश की बाढ़ की समस्या लगातार बढ़ती जा रही है क्योंकि टोल एक और मौत के साथ 104 तक पहुंच गया है, जबकि 28 लाख से अधिक लोग प्रभावित हैं क्योंकि नेपाल से निकली नदियों का जल उगने के कारण जमीन की विशाल संख्या में तबाही हुई है।

कल तक संकलित एक रिपोर्ट का हवाला देते हुए राहत आयुक्त कार्यालय ने यहां बताया कि राज्य के पूर्वी हिस्सों के प्रभावित जिलों में लगभग तीन लाख लोगों ने राहत शिविरों में शरण ली है।

"राज्य में बाढ़ में मरने वालों की संख्या 104 तक पहुंच गई है, जहां 24 जिलों के 3,0 9 7 गांवों में 28 लाख से अधिक आबादी को प्रभावित किया गया है।"

सेना के हेलिकॉप्टर, एनडीआरएफ और पीएसी (बाढ़) कर्मियों ने राज्य के बाढ़ प्रभावित जिलों के बुरी तरह प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में घूमने के लिए राहत और बचाव कार्य जारी रखा।

उन्होंने कहा कि नेपाल से निकलने वाली नदियों में पानी की रिहाई और लगातार बारिश से राहत कार्यों में बाधा उत्पन्न हुई।

एनडीआरएफ की 28 कंपनियों, पीएसी (बाढ़) की 32 कंपनियों और भारतीय वायुसेना के दो हेलिकॉप्टरों और कई सेनाकर्मियों के साथ प्रभावित इलाकों में जिंदगियों और संपत्तियों को बचाने के लिए चौबीस घंटे काम कर रहे थे।

एक केंद्रीय जल आयोग की रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि शारदा नदी पालिया कलान और शारदाणगर में खतरे के निशान के निकट लाल निशान से ऊपर बह रही थी, जबकि घाघ नदी नदी बलिया में टिटिपार में लाल निशान से ऊपर बह रही थी।

राप्ती नदी भी गोरखपुर में रिगोली और बर्डघाट में लाल निशान से ऊपर बह रही थी, जबकि गोंडा के चंद्रदीप घाट में क्वानो नदी खतरे के निशान से ऊपर बह रही थी।




Lucknow, Aug 31 Uttar Pradesh's flood woes continued as the toll rose to 104 with one more death, while more than 28 lakh people are influenced as raging waters of the waterways exuding from Nepal caused destruction in huge swathes of land.

Referring to a report accumulated till yesterday, the relief commissioner's here said around three lakh individuals have taken asylum in alleviation camps in the influenced areas of eastern parts of the state.

"The death toll in the floods has achieved 104 in the state, where 3,097 towns in 24 areas are immersed influencing a populace of more than 28 lakh," it said.

Armed force choppers, NDRF and PAC (surge) work force proceeded with alleviation and protect operations round the check in the extremely influenced territories of the surge hit areas of the state.

Release of water in the streams exuding from Nepal and unremitting downpours obstructed protect work, they said.

Twenty-eight companies of NDRF, 32 organizations of PAC (surge) alongside two choppers of the Indian Air Force (IAF) and a few Army staff were working round the clock to spare lives and properties in the influenced zones.

A Central Water Commission report here said the Sharda waterway was streaming over the red stamp at Palia Kalan and close to the threat check at Shardanagar while the Ghaghra waterway was streaming over the red check at Turtipar in Ballia.

The Rapti stream was likewise streaming admirably over the red check at Rigauli and Birdghat in Gorakhpur, while the Quano waterway was streaming above risk stamp at Chandradeep Ghat in Gonda, it said.
