New Delhi, Aug 28 Prime Minister Narendra Modi today praised party partner TDP and its Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy on the "big victory" in the Nandyal by-poll in Andhra Pradesh.
Reddy, a novice in electoral politics, crushed his YSR Congress adversary and previous priest Silpa Chandra Mohan Reddy by an enormous edge of 27,466 votes.
"Congrats to Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy Garu and our esteemed NDA partner, TDP for the huge triumph in the Nandyal by-survey," Modi tweeted.
The TDP competitor packed away 97,076 votes while his rival surveyed 69,610.
The by-election was held on August 23 following the death of TDP MLA Bhuma Nagi Reddy in March.
