Lucknow, Aug 17 BSP president Mayawati today said the Center's new metro rail approach was "hostile to individuals" and charged that it would antagonistically hit metro projects in Uttar Pradesh.
A day after the Union Cabinet affirmed the new metro rail approach, which opens a major window for private ventures over a scope of operations, Mayawati said it would make setting up of metro projects impossible.
"The new metro strategy declared by the Narendra Modi government is hostile to people. It will end up plainly difficult to set up metro projects, particularly in Kanpur, Varanasi and Allahabad ... Furthermore, it will endanger the expansion of the progressing Lucknow metro extend," she said in an announcement here.
The new policy has made "investment of private players and entrepreneurs vital" in metro ventures. The administration is fleeing from its reponsibilities, Mayawati charged.
She claimed the Center was reducing its share in the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.
"The Center's point is to some way or another get 'head administrator' afixed with every one of the plans to pick up mileage and reputation," Mayawati affirmed, without expounding further.
She additionally charged the Yogi Adityanath government with selling out farmers for the sake of loan waiver.
