Nitish Kumar, Sharad supporters conflict outside CM's home

Patna, Aug 19 Supporters of opponent JD(U) groups headed by Nitish Kumar and Sharad Yadav conflicted outside the habitation of the Bihar chief minister here today, police said.

Riding bikes without helmets, Yadav's supporters were escorting him from the airport to the S K Memorial Hall, the scene of their Jan Adalat program, when they stopped outside the chief minister's habitation in transit andshouted slogans.

The conflicts occurred when some of them conveying sticks and belts attempted to enter Nitish Kumar's 1, Anne Marg living arrangement - inverse the Raj Bhavan.

Before long, Kumar's supporters, who had gathered there for (JD (U) National Executive Committee meeting turned out and pursued away Yadav's supporters, police said.

Yadav, who was in the car with suspended JD(U) MP Ali Anwar, declined to remark on the episode and told reporters, "I will talk at the program."

Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Manu Maharaj who reached the chief minister's home on knowing about the inconvenience, told correspondents that a test would be directed and the blameworthy would be rebuffed.

"We will watch CCTV cameras and attempt to recognize those behind the brutality and act against them," the SSP said.

Asked about security courses of action and for what valid reason Yadav was permitted to take that course, the SSP said the worries would be a piece of the test.

Parallel gatherings were held here by the adversary JD(U) groups headed by Kumar and Yadav.

While the JD(U) national official board of trustees met at the main priest's habitation, the opponent camp held its Jan Adalat in S K Memorial Hall.

Yadav, Ali Anwar and suspended former Bihar serve Ramai Ram were noticeable figures at the Jan Adalat program.

The two JD(U) pioneers dropped out after Nitish Kumar broke the Grand Alliance with the RJD and the Congress in Bihar and held hands with the BJP.
