BJP complains to Election Commission of 'fake news' in front of bypoll

Panaji, Aug 17 The BJP today recorded a complaint with the Election Commission of India (ECI) against a "sham news" being coursed via web-based networking media, which says that Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar may backpedal to the Center in the event that he loses the up and coming get together bypoll in Goa.

Parrikar, who is challenging the Panaji Assembly bypoll planned on August 23, said the fake news demonstrates the disappointment of the restriction.

The BJP, while documenting the protest, requested activity against the people behind it.

"An attempt has been made by coursing a twisted and false news item on social media like Facebook, Whatsapp among others to create misrepresentation, defame the picture of our competitor Manohar Parrikar and mislead the electorate of Panaji voting demographic," said the dissension documented by Parrikar's decision operator Pundalik Raut Desai.

It looked for prompt and quick activity against "the culprits" of such fake promulgation to guarantee free and reasonable decisions.

Tending to a press meet here, Parrikar stated, "The flow of counterfeit news demonstrates that the resistance is disappointed as it is not getting support from the people."

He said the people of Panaji have dependably remained by the BJP and oozed certainty that this time too he will win with an immense edge.

BJP pioneer Siddharth Kuncolienkar, who emptied the Panaji get together seat for Parrikar to challenge, asserted that the Congress was behind it.

The Congress, be that as it may, rubbished the charge.

"The news is completely fake and it is being flowed by Congress party which is sure to lose its store," the BJP pioneer told.

The Congress applicant, Girish Chodankar, negated the charge saying that his gathering had been running a positive battle, which has gotten great reaction.

"We have been battling on a positive note. The gathering will never enjoy negative crusading. The help which I have been accepting is enormous," Chodankar said.

He alleged that the BJP itself was coursing the fake news so it could make an issue over it and occupy the consideration.

Parrikar was before chosen from the voting public from 1994 till 2014.

Despite the fact that the Congress developed as the single biggest gathering after the Assembly surveys held in February this year, the BJP, with the help of the Goa Forward Party, the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) and independents, figured out how to cobble up a collusion and framed the administration under Parrikar's leadership.

Parrikar surrendered as the protection serve after the BJP formed the legislature in Goa.

The by-election in Panaji and Valpoi supporters would be hung on August 23.
