Unfortunate 'Partition: 1947' has been restricted in Pakistan : Gurinder

London, Aug 21 Gurinder Chadha's "Partition: 1947" has been restricted in Pakistan and the movie producer has called it "grievous".

The 57-year-old executive took to Twitter to express her mistake.

"It is appalling my film has been prohibited in Pakistan.

It will dependably be the place where there is my predecessors. #Partition1947 @humasqureshi @RelianceEnt," Chadha composed.

The film's story focuses on Partition of India and Pakistan in 1947 and the effect on human lives in its result.

It was released as "Emissary's House" around the world.

The film, featuring Huma Qureshi, Hugh Bonneville, Gillian Anderson, Manish Dayal and Om Puri, released in India last Friday.
