वाराणसी, 25 सितंबर बनारस हिंदू विश्वविद्यालय में हिंसा के सिलसिले में और 1,000 से ज्यादा छात्रों के खिलाफ एफआईआर दर्ज किया गया है और प्रदर्शनकारियों पर बैटन चार्ज में शामिल पुलिसकर्मियों के खिलाफ भी दर्ज किया गया है।

पुलिस ने बताया कि लंका पुलिस थाने में परिसर में हिंसा के सिलसिले में अलग-अलग एफआईआर पंजीकृत किए गए हैं।

छात्रों के अलावा, बैटन-चार्ज में अज्ञात पुलिसकर्मियों के खिलाफ प्राथमिकी दर्ज की गई है।

बनारस हिंदू विश्वविद्यालय (बीएचयू) में पुलिस ने लाठीचार्ज में महिलाओं सहित कई छात्रों और दो पत्रकार घायल हो गए थे, जहां शनिवार की रात कथित तौर पर छेड़छाड़ की घटना के खिलाफ विरोध प्रदर्शन हिंसक हो गया।

गुरुवार को इस घटना के विरोध में कुछ छात्रों के बाद हिंसा भड़क उठी, वे अपने निवास में विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति से मिलना चाहते थे।

छात्रों के विरोध में बैटन-चार्ज ने शहर में विरोध प्रदर्शन शुरू किया और समाजवादी पार्टी के कार्यकर्ताओं ने एक धरना रखा।

200 से अधिक समाजवादी पार्टी के कार्यकर्ताओं को हिरासत में लिया गया था, जबकि वे घायल छात्रों और प्रदर्शनकारी छात्रों से मिलने जा रहे थे

समाजवादी पार्टी के राज्य प्रवक्ता मनोज राय धोओचंडी ने कहा कि वरिष्ठ पार्टी के नेताओं में शामिल एक विशेष समिति बीएचयू के लिए घायल छात्रों से मिलने और छात्रों के विरोध प्रदर्शन से इस घटना के बारे में पूछताछ कर रही थी, जब पुलिस ने उन्हें हिरासत में लिया था।

"दुर्भाग्य से, पुलिस ने हमें बीएचयू जाने से रोक दिया, इसलिए हम सिंघदर में धरती पर बैठे (बीएचयू मुख्य द्वार के सामने)," सपा नेता ने कहा।

पुलिस ने एसपी कार्यकर्ताओं को धरना कराया और 100 सांसद कर्मचारियों को हिरासत में लेकर पुलिस लाइनों पर उन्हें भेज दिया।

सपा नेताओं ने प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के खिलाफ नारे लगाए।

इसके अलावा सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता तीस्ता सेतलवाड़ को एक कार्यक्रम में भाग लेने के लिए शहर में पहुंचने पर पुलिस ने हिरासत में लिया था।

 

Varanasi, Sep 25 A FIR has been registered against more than 1,000 student regarding the viciousness in the Banaras Hindu University here and furthermore against policemen involved in the baton-charge on protestors.

Seperate FIRs have been enrolled at the Lanka Police Station regarding the savagery on the grounds, the police said today.

Other than the students, a FIR has been recorded against unidentified policemen associated with the twirly doo charge.

A number of students, including ladies, and two reporters were harmed in a lathicharge by the police in the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) where a challenge on Saturday night against an affirmed eve-prodding occurrence turned brutal.

The viciousness emitted after a few students, challenging the episode on Thursday, needed to meet the varsity's vice chancellor at his residence.

The mallet charge on protesting students today activated dissents in the city with Samajwadi Party workers holding a dharna.

More than 200 Samajwadi Party activists were confined while they would meet the harmed students and also protestesting students.

Samajwadi Party's state representative Manoj Rai Dhoopchandi said a unique commitee involving senior gathering pioneers was making a beeline for BHU to meet the harmed students and furthermore enquire about the occurrence from challenging students when the police confined them.

"Tragically, the police prevented us from going to BHU, so we sat on dharna at the Singhdwar (before BHU main gate)," the SP pioneer said.

Police scattered the SP workers arranging dharna and confined more than 100 SP laborers and sent them to police lines.

The SP pioneers raised slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Likewise social extremist Teesta Setalvad was confined by police when she touched base in the city to go to a program.
