Akshay Kumar: TV performing artists deserve to be paid more than film stars टीवी कलाकारों को फिल्म सितारों से ज्यादा भुगतान करना चाहिए: अक्षय

Mumbai, Sep 14 From judging reality shows to promoting his movies on daily soaps, actor Akshay Kumar has been visit on the little screen and trusts TV performing artists work harder than film stars and deserve a better pay package.

The 50-year-old star says TV artistes need to constantly be on their toes and convey their best in a limited ability to focus time.

"I respect TV artistes more than people from my industry as their job is hard. We (film performing artists) don't do one fourth of the diligent work that TV on-screen characters do. I regard them a ton. They work considerably harder and I feel they ought to be paid more (than the film stars). If not more, they ought to get at any rate what we are paid.

"They need to peruse 12-15 pages of content, which is given to them minutes over from the author. Be that as it may, what will an author do in this as he has orders from (his managers) and change things. Everything happens so quick, they (scholars) think on the spot and change things," Akshay says in a meeting here.

The "Toilet: Ek Prem Katha" star says he intently perceived how TV performing artists work hard perpetually, while he went in video form advancements on the small screen.

"TV is difficult as you work consistently. There are a few cameras checking you. I have learnt to appreciate individuals who chip away at TV programs, be it the artiste or other colleagues. We film on-screen characters don't esteem things," he says.

Without naming any show, Akshay uncovers his mom is an ardent fan of some television serials.

"My mom watches lot of television shows. She is stuck to TV, she doesn't watch films with such a great amount of enthusiasm as she sees TV programs."

After "Khatron Ke Khiladi", "Ace Chef" and "Set out to Dance", the National Award-winning performer now comes back to TV with "Great Indian Laughter Challenge" as a judge.

The show is making a rebound following nine years with its fifth season, with famous humorists, for example, Zakir Khan, Mallika Dua and Hussain Dalal as coaches.

Akshay says he used to take after the show prior as he is a huge fan of the comic drama type.

The show goes on air on Star Plus from September 30.
