जम्मू, 24 सितंबर जम्मू-कश्मीर के पुंछ जिले के बालाकोटे सेक्टर में नियंत्रण रेखा के किनारे पाकिस्तान (पाकिस्तान) ने गोलीबारी की।

सीमा सुरक्षा वाले सैनिकों ने जवाबी कार्रवाई की और दोनों पक्षों के बीच गोलीबारी का आदान-प्रदान लगभग 30 मिनट तक चला।

एक रक्षा प्रवक्ता ने कहा कि पाकिस्तानी सैनिकों ने गोलीबारी की, और बालाकोटे सेक्टर के भीमबर इलाके में लगभग 0300 घंटों के दौरान नियंत्रण रेखा पर गोलीबारी की, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप दो जवानों की मौत हो गई।

पाकिस्तानी गोलीबारी के कारण सैकड़ों सीमावासियों को अपने घरों से भागने और सरकार द्वारा स्थापित शिविरों में शरण लेने के लिए मजबूर किया गया है।

पाकिस्तानी सैनिकों द्वारा युद्ध विराम के उल्लंघन की घटनाओं में इस साल तेजी से बढ़ोतरी हुई है।

Jammu, Sept 24 Two soldiers were today harmed as Pakistan opened fire at forward posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in Balakote division of Poonch locale in Jammu and Kashmir, the Army said.

Troops guarding the border retaliated and the trading of fire between the two sides went on for almost 30 minutes.

A resistance representative told that Pakistani troops opened fire and shelled forward posts along the LoC in Bhimber Gali area of Balakote sector around 0300 hours, resulting in splinter injuries to two jawans.

Several border tenants have been forced to flee their homes due to the Pakistani firing and shelling and take shelter at camps set up by the government.

Incidents of ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops have increased sharply this year.

Till August 1, there have been 285 such violations by the Pakistan Army, while in 2016, the number was significantly less at 228 for the entire year, as per figures by the Indian Army.
