उन्होंने कहा, "बीएसएफ के सैनिकों ने जोरदार जवाब दिया और सही जवाब दिया।"

अधिकारी ने कहा, "बीच-बीच से सुबह तक दोनों तरफ से आंतरायिक आग जारी रही।"

बहादुर, 32, उत्तर प्रदेश के बलिया जिले के विद्या भवन नारायपुर गांव से था।

पिछले तीन दिनों से पाकिस्तानी सैनिकों द्वारा लगातार संघर्ष विराम का उल्लंघन किया गया है।

बीएसएफ ने दो पाकिस्तानी सैनिकों की जबरन कार्रवाई में मारे गए जबकि जम्मू और पुंच जिले में आईबी और पाकिस्तानी सैनिकों द्वारा बुधवार को गोलीबारी में तीन भारतीय जवान घायल हो गए।

पाकिस्तानी सैनिकों द्वारा संघर्ष विराम के उल्लंघन की घटनाओं में इस साल तेजी से बढ़ोतरी हुई है। 1 अगस्त तक, पाकिस्तानी सेना ने 285 ऐसी कार्रवाइयां की हैं, जबकि 2016 में, भारतीय सेना के आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, पूरे वर्ष 228 में यह संख्या काफी कम थी।



Jammu, Sep 15 A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was killed when Pakistani troops ceasefire violation for the third continuous day today along the International Border (IB) in Jammu district.

Constable Bijender Bahadur was on duty at forward point along the fence in Arnia sector along the IB when Pakistani Rangers turned to mortar shelling and small arms fire at around 0020 hours today.

A bullet hit the jawan on the left side of his stomach area and he surrendered to wounds while in transit to healing center, a BSF officer said.

"BSF troops retaliated strongly and gave befitting answer," he said.

"Irregular fire continued from both side from mid night till morning," the officer said.

Bahadur, 32, hailed from Vidya Bhawan Naraypur town in Uttar Pradesh's Balia locale. He is survived by his wife Sushmita Singh.

There have been persistent ceasefire violations by the Pakistani troops for as long as three days.

Two Pakistani soldiers were killed in retaliatory activity by the BSF yesterday while three Indian jawans were harmed in ridiculous discharging and shelling by Pakistani troops along the IB and the LoC in Jammu and Poonch areas on Wednesday.

Episodes of ceasefire violations by Pakistani troops have increased forcefully this year. Till August 1, there have been 285 such activities by the Pakistan armed force, while in 2016, the number was essentially less at 228 for the whole year, as indicated by figures by the Indian Army.
