FM Arun Jaitley: 30 crore families get Jan Dhan accounts in 3 yrs 30 करोड़ परिवारों को 3 साल में जन धन खाते हैं: वित्त मंत्री

नई दिल्ली, 13 सितंबर। वित्त मंत्री अरुण जेटली ने आज कहा कि तीन साल पहले भारत के सबसे बड़े बैंक खाता खोलने का अभियान, जन धन योजना शुरू होने के बाद से करीब 30 करोड़ परिवारों को बैंक खाता मिला है।

जन धन योजना से पहले लगभग 42 प्रतिशत परिवारों को बैंकिंग सुविधा नहीं दी गई थी, जिसका उद्देश्य सभी घरेलू बैंकों को सभी वाणिज्यिक बैंकों में शून्य-शेष खाते देकर बैंकिंग सुविधाएं प्रदान करना है।

वित्तीय समावेशन पर एक सम्मेलन में उन्होंने कहा कि शून्य शेष खातों की संख्या 77 प्रतिशत से घटाकर 20 प्रतिशत हो गई है और यहां तक ​​कि सीधे लाभ हस्तांतरण का विस्तार होने के बाद भी यह परिचालन हो जाएगा।

सितंबर 2014 में, योजना शुरू होने के तीन महीने बाद, 76.81 प्रतिशत खातों में शून्य शेष राशि थी। उन्होंने कहा कि शून्य शेष खातों की संख्या अब कुल 20 फीसदी तक आ गई है।

जन धन योजना के 99.99 प्रतिशत घरों में अब कम से कम एक बैंक खाता है।

जेटली ने कहा कि बायोमेट्रिक पहचान संख्या पिछले यूपीए सरकार के तहत आधार है और इसका विधायी समर्थन नहीं था।

उन्होंने कहा कि भाजपा शासन के दौरान पारित आधार कानून, सरकार के लाभ देने के लिए अद्वितीय पहचान संख्या का उपयोग करने की संवैधानिकता का परीक्षण करेगा।


New Delhi, Sep 13 As numerous as 30 crore families have got bank accounts since the launch of India's greatest ever bank account opening drive, Jan Dhan Yojana, three years back, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said today.

Around 42 per cent of family units were unbanked before the Jan Dhan Yojana, which intends to give each family access to banking facilities by offering them zero-balance accounts across all commercial banks.

Talking at a meeting on Financial Inclusion, he said the quantity of zero-balance accounts has decreased from 77 per cent to 20 per cent and even these would wind up plainly operational once the direct benefit transfer is expanded.

In September 2014, three months after the plan was propelled, 76.81 per cent accounts had zero balance. The quantity of zero-balance accounts has now come down to 20 per cent of the total, he said.

99.99 per cent of family units now have at least one bank account, thanks to the Jan Dhan Yojana.

Jaitley said biometric identification number Aadhaar was an advancing thought under the previous UPA regime and it didn't have authoritative support.

The Aadhaar enactment, go amid the BJP lead, will stand trial of legality of using the unique identification number for giving government benefits, he said.
