पणजी, 16 सितंबर गोवा पुलिस के भ्रष्टाचार ब्यूरो ने वरिष्ठ कांग्रेस नेता चंद्रकांत कवेलेकर के खिलाफ 4 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक संपत्ति के कथित रूप से संपत्ति के लिए फर्जी सूचना रिपोर्ट (एफआईआर) दायर की है।

गोवा पुलिस ने भ्रष्टाचार निवारण कानून के विभिन्न वर्गों के तहत 2012 में कवलकर के खिलाफ मामला दायर किया था, जो कुछ मीडिया रिपोर्टों के स्वयं को लेकर संज्ञान ले रहा था, जिसने भूखंडों के अवैध आवंटन में उनकी भागीदारी का आरोप लगाया था।

एसीबी ने 2012 में केरल में अपनी संपत्ति सहित कवलकर की परिसंपत्तियों के खिलाफ जांच शुरू कर दी थी और 2013 में राज्य सरकार को प्रारंभिक जांच रिपोर्ट सौंपी थी।

पुलिस अधीक्षक (एसीबी) बोस्को जॉर्ज ने आज कहा, "हमें क्वलेकर के खिलाफ असंगत संपत्ति के संबंध में प्राथमिकी दर्ज करने के लिए सरकार से आगे बढ़ गया है।"

उन्होंने कहा कि एफआईआर को भ्रष्टाचार निरोधक अधिनियम के तहत कल दर्ज किया गया था। उन्होंने कहा कि संपत्ति की कीमत 4 करोड़ रुपये है, जो आय के अपने ज्ञात स्रोत से कहीं अधिक है।

उन्होंने कहा, "हम इस मामले में और जांच कर रहे हैं।"

जॉर्ज ने कहा कि मुख्य सचिव धर्मेंद्र शर्मा ने शुक्रवार को कवलकर के खिलाफ एफआईआर दर्ज करने पर फाइल को मंजूरी दे दी थी, जो गोवा विधानसभा में विपक्ष के नेता भी हैं।

नाम न छापने की शर्त पर एसीबी के सूत्रों ने बताया कि एसीबी की तलाश में कवेलेकर के घर बेतुल, क्यूपेम में आज बाद में छापा मारा जाएगा।

एक वरिष्ठ एसीबी अधिकारी ने कहा, "उनसे पूछताछ की गई है। हम पूछताछ के लिए उन्हें फिर से फोन कर सकते हैं।"

संपर्क किए जाने पर, कवलकर ने कहा कि वह एसीबी या किसी अन्य एजेंसी द्वारा पूछताछ के लिए तैयार है।

उन्होंने कहा, "मैं गलत पक्षों पर नहीं हूं। मैं जांच के लिए तैयार हूं।" उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार इस तरह की रणनीति के जरिए विपक्ष को नाखुश बनाने की कोशिश कर रही है।

कव्लेकर तीन बार विधायक हैं और 2007-12 की अवधि के दौरान कांग्रेस के दिगंबर कामत सरकार में गोवा औद्योगिक विकास निगम के अध्यक्ष रहे।

2012 में प्रारंभिक जांच से पता चला कि कवकर केरल में 32.5 करोड़ रुपये के पौधरोपण के मालिक हैं।



Panaji, Sep 16 The Anti-Corruption Bureau of the Goa Police has recorded a First Information Report (FIR) against senior Congress pioneer Chandrakant Kavlekar for allegedly amassing disproportionate assets to the tune of Rs 4 crore.

The Goa Police had recorded a body of evidence against Kavlekar in 2012 under different areas of Prevention of Corruption Act, taking suo moto cognisance of a few media reports, which alleged his involvement in illegal allotment of plots.

The ACB had begun investigations against Kavlekar's benefits, incorporating his properties in Kerala, in 2012 and presented the preparatory request answer to the state government in 2013.

"We have gotten an approval from the government to file a FIR against Kavlekar regarding the instance of disproportionate assets," Superintendent of Police (ACB), Bosco George told today.

The FIR was stopped under the Prevention of Corruption Act yesterday, he stated, including that the advantages are worth Rs 4 crore, which are more than his known wellspring of wage.

"We are leading further investigation into the issue," he said.

George said chief secretary Dharmendra Sharma on Friday had cleared the file on registering a FIR against Kavlekar, who is additionally the pioneer of opposition in the Goa get together.

"He has been addressed before. We may call him for cross examination once more," a senior ACB official said.

The initial investigations in 2012 uncovered that Kavlekar claimed a ranch worth Rs 32.5 crore in Kerala.
