Srinagar, Sep 23 Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said today that her legislature will launch an extreme limited time battle to attract more tourists as the state's negative depiction was harming the tourism business.
In her address after the screening of a film on Kashmir, she said the state is referred to for its excellence as well as for its hospitality.
Cordiality and warmth are instilled in people's lives here, she said.
She cited to the reaction of Kashmiri people after an assault on Amarnath Yatris in July, who thronged healing centers to give blood and even hit the roads to denounce the attack.
In another occurrence, she stated, a shikarawallah lost his life while sparing his visitors.
"These are the exact confirmations of this friendliness," she stated, encouraging the media to advance these parts of Kashmir.
Mehbooba lamented that the negative depiction of Kashmir has influenced the tourism business of the state.
She said her administration would launching a serious special battle to convince people to visit the state.
The film - The Warmest Place on Earth - has been created by Jaibeer Ahmad for J Walter Thompson makers and it conveys to fore the hospitable, warm and profoundly established nature of the people of the place.
The screening of the film got a warm gathering from the audience.
