Playboy magazine originator Hugh Hefner dead at 91

Los Angeles, Sep 28 Hugh Hefner, the originator of the famous Playboy magazine has died, Playboy Enterprises declared.

He was 91.

An announcement from the company read that Hefner died on from common causes encompassed by friends and relatives at his home, The Playboy Mansion, revealed ABC News.

"Hugh M Hefner, the American symbol who in 1953 introduced the world with Playboy magazine and incorporated the company into on of the most conspicuous American worldwide in history, calmly passed away today from regular causes at his home, The Playboy Mansion, encompassed by friends and family. He was 91 years of age," the announcement read.

Hefner's son Cooper additionally issued an announcement in which he traced back his dad's journey into initiating a sexual revolution, along with freedom of expression in the US.

Hailing from Chicago, Hefner was born to Glenn and Grace Hefner on April 9, 1926.

After graduating from high school, he filled in as an essayist for a military newspaper in the US Army from 1944-1946 amid World War II. He enlisted in University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and got his level of BA in Psychology in 1949.

Hefner established Playboy with the intend to make a niche and upscale magazine for men - which offered a spread of pictures of nude women, alongside itemised reviews, meetings and fiction by numerous a notable writers.

The magazine came to be recongnised by its logo of the bunny look with a tie.
