Ajit Doval meets China's top diplomat, talks about issues of mutual interest

Beijing, Apr 13  National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval met with the Director of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Yang Jiechi amid the former's two-day bilateral visit to China.

As per the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Doval, who visited the nation from April 12 to 13, was a piece of consistent abnormal state engagement amongst India and China.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues spreading over respective, provincial and international issues of mutual interest.

Doval and Jiechi agreed to maintain the pace of abnormal state trades, with a view to completely understand the capability of a nearer improvement association between the two nations.

On a related note, the MEA declared on Thursday that External Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj is booked to visit on a two-day visit each to China and neighboring Mongolia from April 22 to 25.

Swaraj will take an interest in a ministerial meeting gathering of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Beijing, where India turned into a full part in 2017.

India was an 'onlooker' in the gathering since 2005 and was made full part alongside Pakistan a year ago.

As indicated by reports, Swaraj is additionally prone to hold a gathering with her Chinese partner Wang Yi on the sidelines of the summit.

Her visit to China comes in the setting of the efforts made by the both India and China to move past the tensions which rose out of last year's Doklam standoff.
