Prime Minister Modi heads back home after China visit

Wuhan (China), Apr 28 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday withdrew for New Delhi in the wake of finishing a fruitful two-day casual summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping here.

During the trip, Prime Minister Modi was received by President Xi at the East Lake guesthouse.

On the first day of the summit on Friday, both the leaders held balanced talks, where they examined the chronicled past of the two India and China.

After that, President Xi took Prime Minister Modi on a voyage through the show of Marquis Yi of Zeng Cultural Relics and Treasure at Hubei Provincial Museum in Wuhan.

During the visit both the leaders held delegation level talks and underscored the requirement for reinforcing respective relations between India and China.

Prime Minister Modi said through the "Panchsheel", the reinforcing of bilateral relations between the two Asian giants will be founded on - shared vision, solid relationship, shared purpose, better correspondence and shared thought process.

To this, President Xi said China was prepared to collaborate and work with India to look for direction, with the assistance of the five standards of Panchsheel, as proposed by Prime Minister Modi.

He further said that such informal summits between India and China ought to happen regularly, including that such summits ought to end up a convention between the two Asian giants.

Following delegation-level talks, the Chinese President hosted a dinner for the meeting Indian Prime Minister.

Continuing Day 2 of their 'casual chats' with a stroll along the East Lake in Wuhan today, Prime Minister Modi and the Chinese President appreciated a watercraft ride.

The two pioneers were likewise observed riding on a houseboat and talking over tea - a 'chai pe charcha' minute.

From that point, a private lunch was hosted by the Chinese President in honour of Prime Minister Modi before the last left for Wuhan Airport.
