Donald Trump hails accomplishment of between Korean summit

New Delhi, Apr 27 United States President Donald Trump on Friday hailed the real achievement of the memorable between Korean summit, where North and South Korea consented to sign a formal peace settlement, finishing the 65-year-old war between them.

In a series of tweets, Trump expressed, "KOREAN WAR TO END! The United States, and the greater part of its GREAT people, ought to be extremely pleased with what is presently occurring in Korea!"

"After a furious year of missile launches and Nuclear testing, a historic meeting amongst North and South Korea is presently occurring. Great things are going on, however the truth will surface eventually!" Trump wrote in his second tweet.

The remarks made by Trump come in front of an arranged summit amongst him and North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, which is slated to be held either in May or June.

Earlier in the day, the two Koreas agreed to sign a peace treaty formally in the not so distant future, finishing the 65-year old war between the two nations.

In a joint revelation of the third between Korean summit at the Peace House here, the archive formally called the 'Panmunjom Declaration for Peace, Prosperity and Unification on the Korean Peninsula,' read, "The two pioneers seriously pronounce that there will be no more war on the Korean Peninsula and another period of peace has started," CNN reported.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, in an announcement, said that the two Koreas are one joined people who should cooperate towards reunification.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in also repeated that another period of peace has started and there won't be any more war on the Korean Peninsula.
