BJP Andhra Pradesh chief resigns

Hyderabad, Apr 17 Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Andhra Pradesh chief and Visakhapatnam MP, K Hari Babu on Tuesday resigned from the post of state president.

He presented his resignation to the party's national President Amit Shah yesterday.

The resignation has been in talks for a long while with the party wishing to make some changes in the state unit after its split with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

Talking on the issue, BJP, Andhra Pradesh, General Secretary, J Shyam Kishore told, "He has resigned deliberately. We have in excess of 20 senior people in BJP Andhra Pradesh who are fit for taking the situation of AP BJP state president."
