Good days will come, Asaram says in viral audio clip

Jodhpur, Apr 28 A purported audio clip of Asaram, serving an existence term at a Jodhpur jail, has surfaced online in which the so called godman is heard telling a man over telephone that his opportunity in the slammer is fleeting and "great days will come".

As per Jodhpur Central Jail DIG Vikram Singh, the 15-minute audio clip may have been recorded amid a phone discussion Asaram had on Friday, two days after a Jodhpur court discovered him liable and condemned him to life in jail for assaulting a high school young lady in his ashram five years ago.

The call was made with consent from imprison specialists.

"Prisoners are allowed to make a bring over any two given numbers for 80 minutes in a month. He had addressed a 'sadhak' at Sabarmati Ashram on Friday at 6.30 pm. May be this correspondence was recorded (at that point) and made viral," said Singh.

In a restricted correspondence which seemed like a telephonic sermon, Asaram first stretched out his appreciation to his adherents for keeping up quiet and not coming to Jodhpur upon the arrival of judgment.

"We should regard the lawfulness and the framework. I likewise do as such," he is purportedly heard saying in the sound clasp.

He claims a few people are on a campaign to criticize his ashram and need to take its control. "Try not to escape by such incitements or anything circled on the letter head of ashram...," he says in the clasp.

Referring to co-blamed Shilpi and Sharat Chanda, who were passed on 20-year imprison terms by the uncommon court, Asaram says he would first mastermind their release from jail "as it is the obligation of guardians to first consider their children".

"In the event that more promoters are required for the arrival of Shilpi and Sharat, that will be finished. Subsequently, bapu will clear a path out of the correctional facility," he says.
