Ashok Gehlot designated member of congress central election committee

New Delhi, Apr 9 Congress general secretary Ashok Gehlot has been designated a member of the party's central election committee, the apex body for selection of applicants during elections.

Party sources said today that Gehlot would turn into an individual from the key board of trustees led by Congress president Rahul Gandhi with immediate effect.

Gehlot, a former chief minister of Rajasthan, was as of late designated the AICC general secretary responsible for association and preparing of party units.

A meeting of the central election committee of trustees is probably going to be held tomorrow to talk about gathering possibility for the up and coming get together surveys in Karnataka.

The Congress is trying to stay in control in the southern state under the authority of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
