Madhya Pradesh, Apr 9 The Madhya Pradesh High Court has issued a notice to the state government over giving Minister of State (MoS) status to five religious pioneers. The Shivraj Singh Chouhan government has been requested to react to the notice inside three weeks.
This comes days after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Madhya Pradesh agreed Minister of State status to five Hindu religious leaders. According to a request of General Administration Department's extra secretary KK Katiya, the MoS status was concurred to Narmadanand Maharaj, Hariharanand Maharaj, Computer Baba, Bhayyu Maharaj and Pandit Yogendra Mahant.
Assembly elections are expected in the express this year, and fundamental restriction Congress named the choice as an endeavor by the BJP to abuse the regard these religious leaders appreciate in the society.
"It's a trick to score political focuses. This is also an effort by the chief minister (Shivraj Singh Chouhan) to wash off his sins. He ignored conservation of the Narmada. These holy people ought to investigate where the state government has planted six crore saplings (along the stream banks) as guaranteed by the CM," said Congress representative Pankaj Chaturvedi.
State BJP spokesperson Rajnish Agrawal said the restriction party detests anything identified with holy people.
"Saints and seers were concurred the MoS status to make their work of condition and waterway conservation easy. The holy people were reserved in for the Narmada protection work to guarantee open cooperation," Agrawal said.
