Stockholm, Apr 17 In an endeavour to further deepen the bilateral ties between the two nations, Sweden said on Tuesday that the country will collaborate with India on its flagship schemes such as, Make in India, Smart Cities Mission, Startup India and Digital India.
In a joint statement here, Sweden Prime Minister Stefan Lofven lauded the Indian government for its solid spotlight on development and has named the activities as keys to advance and flourishing for India.
Further speaking on innovation partnership between New Delhi and Stockholm, Lofven stated, "Sweden will give 50 million kronas (approx. Rs 40 crore) for innovation corporation with India for the Smart Cities venture and for accomplishing supportable improvement. This will also encourage work creation."
He lauded India for taking steps for its unprecedented economic transformation in terms of manufacturing and digital development.
The Swedish Prime Minister included that a joint action plan has been marked amongst India and Sweden, wherein the two nations will set up regular undertakings on cybersecurity. Additionally, he said that the two nations were taking a shot at a security course of action permitting to trade sorts of grouped data as far as protection.
Lofven also spoke about the re-launching of the negotiations on speculation assurance and unhindered commerce under the European Union-India vital organization for enhancing the business atmosphere between the two nations.
PM Narendra Modi is as of now on a five-day visit to Sweden, the United Kingdom and Germany.
