PM Narendra Modi lands at Buckingham Palace to go to CHOGM

London, Apr 19 Prime Minister Narendra Modi has landed at the Buckingham Palace to go to 25th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).

The Prime Minister was received by British partner Theresa May and Commonwealth Secretary General Baroness Patricia Scotland.

The Commonwealth Summit will be formally opened by Queen Elizabeth at 10 a.m. (nearby time) trailed by an official welcome of the leaders of 53 Commonwealth countries by May and Commonwealth Secretary-General Patricia Scotland.

The first hour Executive Session will be held at the Lancaster House at 12:15 p.m. (Nearby time) trailed by the second official session at 2:30 p.m. (nearby time).

On the sidelines of the Executive sessions, different two-sided gatherings will also be held among the Commonwealth leaders.

Solomon Islands Prime Minister Rick Houenipwela, The leader of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne, and Saint Lucia Prime Minister Honorable Allen Chastanet are planned to hold a gathering.

Assist President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa and President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda will direct a reciprocal gathering.

Later President Adama Barrow of the Gambia, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull of Australia, Prime Minister Keith Rowley of Trinidad and Tobago, Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth of Mauritius, Prime Minister Danny Faure of Seychelles and Bangladesh's Prime Minister Sheik Hasina will have a gathering at night.

Further, at night Queen Elizabeth will have a supper gathering for all the Commonwealth leaders.
