Amit Shah seats BJP national office bearers' meeting

New Delhi, Sep 8 Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah formally inaugurated the two-day National Executive meeting of the party, beginning off with the national office bearers' meeting.

Shah will deliver the inaugural address on the first day, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver the valedictory address on Sunday within the sight of best party leaders.

The meeting will be gone to by all national and state executive members.

The BJP National Executive meeting is slated to start at 3 pm today.

This is the first National Executive meeting of the gathering after the demise of previous PM and BJP stalwart Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

On Friday, BJP representative Shahnawaz Hussain said that amid the gathering, individuals will pay tributes to Vajpayee.

He also said that the upcoming assembly elections and general elections of 2019 are relied upon to be the primary motivation of the gathering. Aside from that, topical issues will also be talked about at the meeting, Hussain said.
